As a writer, Tori was also longlisted for the Old Vic 12 and recently participated in the Criterion New Writers programme led by Greg Mosse, and will have some of her work performed on stage at The Criterion next year as a result. She has also been commissioned by Idris Elba to write for an exciting new project in collaboration with Green Door, Bob&Co and Hackney Empire.Tori's self penned and self funded, debut EP, 'Wasted' debuted top 20 in the iTunes singer/songwriter chart and she is currently back in the studio working on new material for her second EP. Tori has worked as a session artist for various artists including, aforementioned Elba, Fatboy Slim, Jeymes Samuel of The Bullitts and Bless Beats. She also appears on Idris Elba's mi Mandela album, including the single 'You Give Me Love', where she performs vocals alongside Maverick Sabre. As a performer Tori has performed in large-scale musicals such as Gary Lloyd’s production of Hair in the West End (Help For Heroes Gala) and the European Tour, which included the Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam. Tori is passionate about new writing, and has originated lead roles in three world premieres of brand new British musicals, including Chelsea in H.R.Haitch, Lauren in After The Turn (nominated for Broadway World Best Regional or Fringe Musical) and Nono in Yarico, produced by Jodie Kidd at The London Theatre Workshop. As a vocalist Tori has performed in venues such as the Lincoln Centre, New York, and The Palace, The Lyric and The Garrick Theatres (West End). Most recently Tori has appeared with Eliza and the Bear at their headline London show, on their BBC Radio One Live Lounge for Clara Amfo, on the Grand National Sunday Brunch special, live on Edith Bowman’s Virgin Radio Brekfast show as part of their pre-V-fest celebrations, and on CBBC.
